Bookkeeping for small businesses.
Monthly bookkeeping starts at $375 a month. Every transaction categorized, every account reconciled, books closed by the 15th, and reporting written so you can actually read it. Built for owner-led businesses running 1 to 100 people. Based in West Michigan, working remotely nationwide. No contract, and your CPA gets books that are already right.
Every month ends with three things to do · Boldr Enterprises LLC · Not a CPA firm
Illustrative — a typical week for an owner still doing their own books.
Clean books. Then a straight read on them.
Bookkeeping isn't data entry with a nicer name. It's making sure that when you look at a number, that number is true — and that you saw it early enough to do something about it.
Built for owner-led businesses of every kind: collision and auto repair, construction and the trades, restaurants, print shops, light manufacturing, agencies, clinics, distributors, professional services.
Boldr isn't a CPA firm. No tax filing, no tax advice. Your CPA gets books that are already clean, which is usually the fastest way to shrink what they bill you.
Categorization & reconciliation
Every transaction coded right, every account tied out against the statement.
Month-end close by the 15th
A date you can plan around, not whenever somebody gets to it.
Reporting and a monthly video
P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow in plain language — plus 5–8 minutes walking what moved and why.
Payroll, run in your system
QuickBooks Payroll, ADP, or Gusto handles filings and deposits. Boldr operates it.
The rhythm, every month
Your documents by the 5th, your packet by the 15th — that's the deal, in both directions.
Your part
Anything only you have — statements, receipts, a note about that odd deposit. Usually ten minutes.
Coded and tied out
Anything unclear comes to you as one short list of questions, not a trickle of emails.
Closed and reviewed
A person reads the month — margin, labor, cash, receivables — and decides what actually matters.
Your packet lands
Reports, The Short List, and a video walking your numbers. On Books + Read, a call to talk it through.
Every month ends with three things to do.
Not a forty-page report. Not a dashboard you'll open twice. Three things, in order, with the reason attached to each.
Why three? A list of twelve never gets finished, and if everything is flagged, nothing is. Narrowing to the three that matter — and ranking them — is the hard part, and it's what no software can do for you.
Anything worth your time should send you home knowing what to do next. Your books should be no different.
$24,100 of your $63,100 receivable, slipped from 30 to 52 days.
Why first: it's the difference between the 22nd being tight and being fine.
Install is at 22% margin against 51% on service.
Why second: every quote you send locks it in for another job.
$412 a month leaving for six months without a decision.
Why third: easy, permanent, ten minutes.
Illustrative. Yours will be about your business — and there will only ever be three.

Behind on your books? Catch-up is a one-time project billed hourly, with a range quoted before anything starts and a check-in before it goes past that.
Books + Operator. The full back office plus a half day of an operator in your shop each month, a rolling 13-week cash forecast, and one process documented every quarter.
See the fractional side →There's a name attached to your books.
Most bookkeeping at this price is a queue. Your statements go into a platform, get sorted automatically, and pass through whoever's next before coming back as a report nobody read.
Here, one person owns your account and signs off on every close — because noticing is the entire job, and software has never once been curious about why a number changed.
One person, start to finish
No rotating queue, no handoffs, nobody relearning your business every month.
Every close reviewed by a human
Software can suggest. It doesn't get to decide.
Nothing goes offshore
No processing floor, no team you can't call, no time zone between you and an answer.
Straight answers.
How much does a bookkeeper cost?
Boldr starts at $375 a month for up to two accounts. Books + Read is $650 and adds payroll, The Short List, and a monthly walkthrough. Books + Payroll is $975 for the full back office. Catch-up on books that are behind runs $65 an hour with a range quoted before anything begins.
Are you a CPA?
No, and you shouldn't have to guess. Boldr Enterprises LLC isn't a CPA firm — no tax preparation, no tax advice, no audit or attest work. What you get is books clean enough that your CPA moves fast. If you don't have one, you'll get help finding a good one.
What do I actually receive each month?
Your closed books and reports, and then the part that matters: The Short List — three specific things to do, ranked, each with the reason attached — plus a 5–8 minute video walking your numbers. On Books + Read there's also a call to talk through it.
What if my books are months or years behind?
Almost everyone's are, and it isn't a character flaw. Catch-up is a separate one-time project at $65 an hour, with an estimated range quoted up front and a check-in before it ever goes past that range.
Do you handle payroll?
Yes, and here's exactly what that means. Your payroll stays on a real platform — QuickBooks Payroll, ADP, Gusto — and those platforms calculate withholding and file and deposit your payroll taxes, which is where the penalties live and where you want a licensed system on the hook. Boldr operates it: hours in, payroll run on schedule, records reconciled into your books.
Do you use AI to do the work?
Accounting software has automation built in — QuickBooks suggests categories and reads receipts, and that's true of every bookkeeper you'll talk to. The difference is what happens next. Every suggestion gets reviewed by a person before it becomes your number. Software assists. Judgment doesn't get outsourced.
Is my financial information safe?
You keep ownership of every account. Access is read-only wherever the software allows it, granted through accountant permissions in QuickBooks or your bank's own portal — never by handing over a password. You can revoke it yourself, any time.
Do you work with businesses outside Michigan?
Yes. Bookkeeping is remote work — bank feeds, accounting software, and a monthly call don't care what state you're in. West Michigan is home ground and where on-site work happens, but the books run the same for a shop in Ohio or Texas.
Twenty minutes. Bring your worst number.
Tell us where the books stand and what you'd want off your plate first. You'll get a straight answer on whether this helps and exactly what it would cost.
Rather just grab a slot than wait on an email? Pick one that works and you'll get the invite straight away.
See open timesYou'll be talking to the person who'll actually do the work. Not a call center, not a sales rep, not somebody who hands you off after you sign.
