How your information is handled.
You're being asked to let somebody see your bank feed. That's not a small ask, and "trust me" isn't an answer. Here's exactly how it works.
You never hand over a password.
Every accounting platform and every bank has a proper way to give somebody limited access. We use those, every time, and never the shortcut.
Which means you can see exactly what's been granted, and you can take it back yourself in about a minute without asking anyone.
The boring habits that actually protect you.
None of this is exotic. It's the standard a firm holding other people's financial records should meet, written down so you can hold us to it.
Password manager, always
Every credential lives in a password manager with two-factor authentication switched on. Nothing in a spreadsheet, a notes app, or a drawer.
Encrypted and locked
Full-disk encryption, automatic screen lock, and current operating system updates on anything that touches client work.
Nothing sensitive by email
Documents move through your accounting platform or a secure link — not as an email attachment sitting in two inboxes forever.
One person, by name
No rotating queue and no offshore processing floor. You know who has access because it's one person and you've met them.
Your records stay yours
You own the subscription and the data. Leave whenever you like and everything goes with you, clean and current.
Never in the money flow
No signature authority on your accounts, no sole approval of payments, and no client funds held by Boldr. Ever.
The questions people are too polite to ask.
Could you move money out of my account?
No. Access is read-only wherever the platform supports it, and Boldr never holds signature authority, never acts as sole approver on a payment, and never holds client funds. Payments are initiated by you or by someone in your business with authority to do it.
Who else sees my numbers?
One person. There's no team, no queue, and no subcontractor. Your accounting platform and your bank obviously hold your data, and your CPA sees what you send them. That's the complete list.
Is my data used to train anything?
No. Your financial information isn't sold, shared, or fed into any tool for training. Accounting software has automation built in — QuickBooks suggests categories, which is true for every bookkeeper — but that operates inside your own account, and every suggestion is reviewed by a person before it becomes your number.
What happens if you're unavailable?
Fair question, and worth asking any small firm. Your books live in your own QuickBooks subscription, which you own and control, so your records are never trapped anywhere. For a longer absence you'd be told and given options, in writing, before it affected a close.
Are you insured?
Not yet, and you won't be told otherwise. Professional liability and a fidelity bond are being quoted now, and this page and the site will say so once coverage is actually in force. A firm that claims coverage it doesn't have is a firm with a bigger problem than being uninsured.
What if I want out?
Say so. Bookkeeping is month to month. Your records are yours, they're already in your own subscription, and access gets revoked on your side whenever you decide.
Built to work for everyone.
This site is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That isn't a claim made loosely — the colour combinations were measured rather than eyeballed, and the lowest contrast ratio anywhere on the site is 4.9 to 1 against a 4.5 requirement.
If something here doesn't work for you, email admin@growboldr.com and it gets fixed. That's a commitment, not a form letter.
